Born in England, Simon has lived consecutively in Berlin, New York, Milan, Portugal and now Paris. His first novel, Le Veilleur, was published in France in 1990 by the prestigious Christian Bourgois Editeur, and his second, Still Life With Books in the US in 1993 by Bridge Works. His poetry, short stories, essays, and drawings have appeared in a wide variety of publications throughout Europe and the United States. He also has appeared on radio and television, notably for the Franco-German cultural channel, ARTE, for which he has created comic and documentary programs.
