DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN is the senior United States senator from New York. He has been a member of the cabinet or subcabinet of presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and Ford, as well as U S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Formerly a professor of government at Harvard University, Senator Moynihan is the author, co-author, or editor of fourteen books. The senator and his wife, Elizabeth, make their homes in Washington, D.C., and at Pindars Corners, New York.
