The items from this collection were
purchased at an estate sale and included boxes of original paperwork from a
genealogist. These include handwritten family group sheets, notes, letters
and newspaper articles.
Most information is grouped by
husband's surname, so the easiest way to find a particular surname is to enter
the desired name in the search box at the bottom of this page.
What a find if one of these family
group sheets connects to your family!
As I transcribe each sheet into my
FamilyTreeMaker program, I cannot guarantee that the info will be error free
(I'm getting old and my eye sight is not what it used to be!) so please let me
know if you see any typing errors. The FamilyTreeMaker program is then
used to create a gedcom file which is then used to create the surname
index. This SURNAME INDEX will
include information from the entire site so it will be continuously updated as
items are added to the website. I will try to post an updated copy
at least once a week.
Please also note that many of the
handwritten family group sheets contain a column on the right hand side of the
page which may have census or other info included. Due to the size of the
sheets, I did not scan this portion of the page. If you want to know about
any particular page, please send an email to found@familyhistorysites.com
and be sure to include the Item No.
